Hello, so I am having a problem with MS-DOS 6.22 + Microsoft Network Client 3.0 for MS-DOS, Windows 10 and Windows 11 23H2 with SMB 1.0 enabled.The error message:"The password is incorrect for: "Insert hostname"I supply the password, but it says: "Access denied: error 5."Even when I have the right credentials with the username and password.I have tried these 20 + fixes:1. Already enabled file sharing on all network profiles: private, public and domain.2. Enabled SMB 1.0 client and server.3. Already enabled NTLM + LM authentication.4. There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

 

Windows 7 virtual wifi authentication mode

Just a quick question to whoever is using windows 7 virtual wifi capability - when you type in "netsh wlan show hostednetwork", cmd window displays a list of settings for your hosted virtual wifi.

I was wondering, is there a way to change authentication method from WPA2-Personal to simple WEP ?

Set Lan Manager Authentication level back to "Not Defined"


I need to set the lan manager authentication level back to "not defined" in security settings in Windows 10 Pro.
Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level”

I changed this to another value by accident and cant find a way to put it back to "not defined". This is preventing the windows 10 client from being able to contact the domain controller and authenticate for domain access. Was working fine till I changed it while trying to get symantec endpoint protection manager to connect to the client.
Any Ideas?
