    Dear Microsoft Support Team,I would like to report an issue with the Snipping Tool. Whenever my system switches the display mode from Integrated Graphics to Nvidia GPU only, the Snipping Tool stops working automatically. This problem is consistently reproducible and disrupts my workflow.Steps to reproduce the issue:1. Open the Snipping Tool start screen recording using Windows + Shift + S.2. Change the display mode from Integrated Graphics to Nvidia GPU only e.g., by launching any game that uses the Nvidia GPU.3. Attempt to use the Snipping Tool again.Expected Behavior:The Snipping Tool sh

    Snipping tool bug - does not save a snip 1st time

    I have a Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134)

    1. Open a snipping tool

    2. Click on a new snip (have a rectangular snip mode set)

    3. Take a snip and press save (black floppy disk)

    4. Choose a location, name a snip and press save

    Current result: Snip will not be saved, only if you press save (black floppy disk) again and then press save - it will ask you whether you want to overwrite it - if you choose yes, only then the snippet will be created in a given location.

    Expected result:

    Snip will be saved in a current location directly after step 4.

    Please, Microsoft, fix this bug, I am actually using your snipping tool for work, and this drives me crazy!

    This bug is here for quite some time and it haven´t been fixed.

    Apologies, if this is not a proper forum for bug report, but this is the only one I know.

    I have done some more experimenting, I have noticed another bug where I take a snip and the window for snipping tool goes to the background, and I need to switch tabs to open the window if I want to edit the snip.

    If I take a snip and don't switch back to the snipping tool window the above errors seem to occur (red X, transparent pictures)

    However I've noticed if I switch back to the snipping tool window, and then to powerpoint and paste the bug doesnt occur.

    I don't need to do anything in the snipping tool window, literally just open it.

    It doesnt really solve the issue, as an extra step to delete and paste again vs an extra step to switch back to the snipping tool window is still the same annoyance. I think it shows that the bug is more with the minimise window issue on the snipping tool

    Please try this:

    Step 1:

    Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

    Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

    Click Reset,

    Click Repair.

    Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

    Step 2:

    Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

    Step 3:

    Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

    • Windows Push Notifications System Service
    • Windows Push Notifications User Service
