[Bug] Window snapping bug: While holding the Win key and two windows are open, click a different window than the active window, then hit the left or right arrow key

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open two windows, so that you have Window 1 (Currently Active/On Top) and Window 2 in the Background
2. Hold the Win or Super key, and continue to hold it throughout the following steps
3. Using the mouse, click a background window AFTER holding the WIN key
4. Hit an arrow key using your keyboard. This is the shortcut to snap a window.

Expected Behavior: The currently active window will snap towards the right side.

Actual Behavior: The previously active window, which is currently a background window, will snap towards the right side.



Note on step 3: Alt Tab was tested in place of a mouse click and worked correctly. Trackpad, TrackPoint, Touchscreen or other input devices were untested. I did not use a clean factory install or virtual machine.

Win-Key + Arrow does not snap windows on Win10

I tried every one of the suggested fixes on this solution and on the other page links at the top.

None of them seemed to work. I rarely use the WIN key outside of "Windows Snap" shortcut, so I tested a few other WIN + < > hotkeys (e.g. WIN + D) - didn't work either. So what I thought was a "WIN + Left/Right Arrow" (aka Win Snap) issue - wasn't the actual problem...

Solution (Fixed Everything) :: DISABLED "GAMER MODE" Toggle Key on Mechanical Keyboard. (Logitech G910). I never use Gamer Mode Toggle and didn't even realize it was Enabled.

Hope that helps anyone out there w/ Gamer Mode Toggle Keys cause this has been bugging me for awhile.

 

Desktop items open Libreoffice; windows bugged and flickering

My mother's PC had the most bizarre bug I've ever seen this morning.

PC specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit
Version: 1903 when problem occurred (1909 now)

What happened:

• all desktop items, including folders, opened in Libreoffice Writer; once open it displayed a blank document then began flickering as if it had bugged while scrolling
• opened Task Manager from the task bar, selecting the second tab opened the final tab, which began flickering like Libreoffice
• problems stopped after a restart, then occurred again after another restart; then stopped after the PC ran for a short time
• no error popups or BSODs
• she said Candycrush reported an error earlier but it didn't occur when I looked at it; she said it mentioned "something about the desktop"

Steps I've taken:

• did a quick virus scan then reboot scan with Windows Defender; no problems found
• sfc /scannow; no problems found
• installed update KB4537572 and upgraded system to 1909; updates appear to have been successful, no other updates available

At the moment the problem has disappeared, but since it reoccurred previously I'm not sure it hasn't been fixed.

I'm out of ideas. What else can I check and what other tests can I run? Based on the given information could anyone suggest what the problem might be?
