Another day, another dump. Already reinstalled Malwarebytes, in fact the second time. Somehow I find it slows down machines if you don't install it after upgrading to Windows 10, happened both on my laptop and tablet.

Also the fault code is now A0...

Please disable driver verifier, currently I do not think it is of much use.
The 0xA0 crash doesn't reveal very much, I'll do some research about what happens exactly in the hope it'll help a bit.

    • Open an admin command prompt
    • Enter "verifier/reset" (without quotes)

  3. Another day, another reboot. Back to 7F here.

Please make a new backup of your current system and try restoring an older backup, but first verify it please.

  5. I'll probably try doing the backup this weekend, Problem is my next in line restores for Windows 10 all have the same BSOD problems, only "clean" one I have is for 8.1. So if those drivers don't work I guess my last resort is to do a full Windows 10 reset or go back to 8.1, and maybe upgrade again. Real odd thing is when I initially went from 8.1 to 10 10240, I didn't have the BSODs (There were other problems, though).

However I have some other ideas. I reviewed the logs, there seems to be a lot of PnP errors with the sensors and the GPS. I tried installing Asus' driver for the GPS but it won't let me, somehow the Broadcom installer doesn't let me overwrite drivers. Also in the Show/Hide Updates thingy, I saw that Microsoft and Intel actually pushed new drivers for the buses I mentioned that killed the devices. Coincidentally among those are the sensors in question. So I might give those a shot after doing the backup.

In the meantime, another set of dumps, two more 7F BSODs today.

Other then the things I already have mentioned I don't see anything else relevant to mention.

  7. OK, so I gave up. Considering I have no working 10 back up that doesn't BSOD, I took the plunge and wiped. Used a USB OTG to do a re-install, selected the keep nothing option. Seems to be OK now.

Install wasn't as clean as I hoped, some leftover folders left over (Windows.old that couldn't he removed even by Disk Cleanup) but the hardware tree looks clean now. All drivers updated to the Windows Update version with the exception of the sound driver, which doesn't work. Had the rotation sensor freeze on me once but that's it. Malwarebytes still not reinstalled though. I'll monitor a few more days before closing this out.

Lesson learned: Screw the upgrade process.

    Thanks.

Final step, got Malwarebytes reinstalled, still no BSODs. So I guess still a mystery what actually caused them. I'll mark it as solved now, though the solution isn't quite a real "fixing" solution.

Thanks again for all the help.
