Windows 10: BugCheck Restart

Hi, My PC restarted suddenlyThe computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1 0xffffab798ad9a304, 0x0000000000000005, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff804485f4c70. A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 44f663c7-799f-467a-ac21-caadeda141d7.

Hard drive/ OS issue

a guy suggested :

• shutdown
• unhooked HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
• reconnected HDD
• restarted
• yay !!

Thanks for your patient help and analysis, zbook. I'll step through some of your suggestions over the next few days - there's a lot to do and some look a bit hairy! That is, for a PC that is working sweetly right now...

One step I did try right away was to answer your question about whether my BIOS is up-to-date. I had no success at the AMI site but did get some info from this commercial site:

• Since when are you facing the above issue? Did you make any recent changes to the computer?
• Did you try booting the computer in Safe mode and check if the issue persists?
