Windows 10: Build 18945 Desktop out of sequence

My desktop is out of order. I have a blank in the last row. I sort by name twice and then desktop is in order. When I turn off computer and them turn it back on, there is still a blank and I have to sort by name twice again. This has happened in the last few builds.

Any help would appreciated.

Lock Icon Sequence in a Toolbar

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below to arrange desktop icons.

• 
  Right Click on desktop screen.
  
• 
  Place the cursor on View.
  
• 
  In drop down menu, select auto align and check.

Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:
