  3. No sound on Windows 10 since update KB 3213986?

    1. RECAP => The sound problem first occurred when you were running Win10 1607 OS Build 14393.693 (i.e., after installing KB3213986 on or after 10 January 2017), rolling back to OS Build 14393.576 (KB3206632 - 13 Dec-16) resolved the problem, you did NOT
install any further updates for Win10 1607, the behavior returned after you upgraded to Win10 1703 manually roughly a month ago and the behavior persists after installing KB4016871 this week, is that correct?

    2. Can you tell me when (approx. date) your originally upgraded the Win7 computer to Win10?

    3. Was the original upgrade to Win10 offered & installed via Windows Update or did you choose to upgrade manually? [I suspect the latter.]

PS: How would you "go back to 1607 14393.576" - assuming you chose to do so?
