  2. DXGKRNL BSOD from closing games or using display related apps how do I fix it?

    The gold standard Clean Install can be used on any PC regardless of manufacturer. The factory install is wiped out just like it is with the Reset. If you tell me the manufacturer I can let you know if there is any factory bloatware worth reinstalling afterwards.

    If you do the Reset you must look for the Cloud Reset option to be offered. If not then you can go ahead but it may fail or end up dysfunctional.

    I can also give you fixes for the BSOD you're getting to try first if you want. Here are a few, there are many more:

    https://www.getdroidtips.com/fix-blue-screen-er...

    https://tencomputer.com/fix-system-service-exce...

    https://thegeekpage.com/dxgkrnl-sys-bsod/

    Report back results for each step so I know what else to suggest.

    Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary. You have a lot to try now so something may work before you need to do a Reset.

    7 different BSoD

    Hey guys,

    I have a serious problem. I make it as short as possible:

    • system runs 100 % fine with the 10.12
    • updatet to Catalyst 11.1 -> BSoD
    • updatet to 11.1 Hotfix -> BSoD
    • rollback to 10.12 -> BSoD
    • removed ALL AMD files manually, installed 10.12 -> BSoD
    • Temps are fine
    • no sfc /scannow errors
    • no chkdsk errors
    • Prime, Furmark all fine
    • regardless what driver I install -> BSoD
    • I did no hw changes, no OC
    Here are my BSoDs I receive:
    • 0x0000010e
    • 0x1000007e
    • 0x0000007e
    • 0x0000004e
    • 0x0000003b
    • dxgmms1.sys
    • PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
    They all refer to the GPU of course ...

    From now on I receive a BSoD every time I try to play a game (especially BC2 and SC II) even if I completely remove the old driver and make a clean install.
    Apparently the 11.1 damaged my system irreparable.

    Any advice or info would be very much appreciated *Smile Build 26100.4061 dxgkrnl.sys leads to BSOD :)

    dxgmms2.sys BSOD

    Hello,

    A while back, my computer lost power while it was installing windows updates. Since then, I've had BSODs every couple days, with various errors pointing to a driver error. These were annoying, but manageable. I tried a few basic troubleshooting steps, like
    using a removal tool for my graphics card drivers and reinstalling, but I didn't do much else.

    The last couple days, the BSOD rate has ramped up, and I started seeing "dxgmms2.sys" get listed in the BSODs, which is relatively new.

    I followed the instructions
    here.

    And here are my dmp files resulting from that:

    Thanks.
