    Well I'm about to resurrect my old Intel build...finally. I can't afford a complete new build, not with the price gouging that's going on online.

    As I can't remember, so my question is: When I do get it up and running.....do I choose UEFI and if so....with a clean install will it set up the SSD as GPT? How does that work.....I can't remember....LOL!

    mobo - Gigabyte GA-Z97 Gaming 7
    CPU - Intel i7 4790k
    RAM - Gskill 2400 mhz I will be using XMP for that.

    is it possible to hand build a motherboard?

    Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:

    Good surround sound headset

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue build :p
