Windows 10: Built a brand new PC and I get this error message: “Windows cannot read the <Product Key>...

I have downloaded the requisite Windows 11 download files onto a USB and plugged it into the newborn PC, and I get the above message. Most of the answers online suggest simply ejecting the disk in your disk drive. I do NOT have a disk drive.I have also seen suggestions that I need to check for a “autounattend.xml” file in the download, but the Windows media installation download does not have anything with this name.The USB stick I have has been formatted to FAT32, and has no other data on it.I have no idea what to do from here.

Brand New windows key won't work.

I recently bought a windows product key from amazon for my newly built pc. I installed windows, inputted the product key.

All seemed fine. A day later it is prompting me to input the product key and when I do it is saying the key has been used on another computer. Baring in mind I bought this brand new from amazon.

Any suggestions?

Hello! I am a new system user who has just built my first PC.

I purchased a Windows 10 Home license from Microsoft brand new, and used the USB stick to install windows to my fresh system. Install went fine, I was able to change my personalization options briefly.

But after a restart, Windows asked for the activation key and is returning the "0xC004C008" error that says it's activated on another computer.

This is a brand new system and a brand new key. I don't understand how it could be activated on another computer. My Microsoft account only shows one system: the one it's installed on right now. I have restarted several times and tried troubleshooting options on and offline. There is no more support chat nor hotline anymore, so I am stuck.

EDIT: I was running the activation-by-phone wrong. Woops! I was responding to the robo-call voice instructions with "okay" instead of waiting for them to finish telling me how to activate my key, which caused the robo-call to hang up. Just wait for the instructions to finish, then say "representative" and the robo-call will redirect you.

 

I can´t activate Windows 10 with brand new product key.

My current system is Windows 10 Home. Bought brand new original.

And i didnt try to activate Windows 7 Ultimate with my Windows 10 key.

I just did clear reainstall of my PC and product key used later in instalation. Not before.

When I go to settings - Windows upgrade - Activate ... there is a filled Product key and Product ID.. but above this is written that Windows is not activated and when i click on button Activate.. it will show the message that i cannot activate windows at
the moment. Try it later. Error code: 0xC004C780
