Windows 10: Built-in apps get's removed are deploying windows image

Hello,We have created a new windows image with all windows updates up to date and some apps installed. After sysprep, the image is installed on a VM for testing and everything is working fine. However, after deploying the image on an actual machine, some built-in apps are removed like Microsoft store and calculator.This has never happened before with other windows images and the same procedure was been followed.Iso used for the image: SW_DVD9_Win_Pro_10_21H2_64BIT_English_Pro_Ent_EDU_N_MLF_X22-83627.ISOHow can this be fixed?Thanks

Best way to make a bootable Windows 10 image on USB with all existing software, drivers & configurations to deploy on exactly identical hardware?

There is no difference in the hardware we want to deploy that image on.

Planning to deploy this image on over 4000 desktops of same hardware configuration and make and model.

Is there a freeware/opensource/free software that we can use for this purpose commercially?

can you suggest a solution and KB article where it's step by step explained how to achieve it or do it?

 

WIndows built-in Mail app - Cannot Find it after removing

I understand the inconvenience you are facing with finding and installing the Mail app, we will help you with this issue.

• Do let us know how exactly have you tried to uninstall the Mail app?
• Have you deployed any PowerShell command to uninstall. If so, which one?
• What exactly happens when you try to search for Mail app from Start menu?

Step 1: I suggest you to uninstall the apps which came inbuilt with Windows 10 using Windows PowerShell and reinstall using Windows store if not yet tried and check
if it helps.

Note: You need to close the Windows Store and other apps before executing the PowerShell command. Also, sign-out and sign-in before installing the apps from the store.

Follow the below steps.

1. Open the Start menu, type Windows PowerShell in the search bar.

2. Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.

3. Enter the below command to reinstall the Mail and Calendar app.

• 
  get-appxpackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | remove-appxpackage
  
  

After performing the above steps, install the Mail app from the Windows store.

If the issue still persists,

Step 2: I suggest you to run
WSReset.exe to reset Windows Store, later try to search for Windows Mail app and check if it helps.

1. Press
Windows+R key to open Run box

2. Enter
wsreset.exe in the Run command and then tap or click OK.

3. Restart your computer and check.

Remove all UWP built in apps in Windows 1903

The Windows 10 1903 feature update now lets the users to uninstall a few apps using the
Context menu. If you’re on the latest build of Windows 10, it will let you uninstall a few UWP applications using the
Context Menu.





Please find the list of apps that can now be uninstalled using the Context menu below:

• Calculator
• Calendar
• Groove Music
• Mail
• Movies & TV
• Paint 3D
• Snip & Sketch
• Sticky Notes
• Voice Recorder

Cortana is an integral part of Windows and she cannot be entirely turned off. However, if you don’t want Cortana functionality available to you on your taskbar, I would suggest you to follow these steps:
Manage Cortana settings.
