Windows 10: built-in camera stopped working.

my built in camera stopped working. A few months ago it worked fine. Toshiba laptop running Windows 8.1. It says it's functioning properly, but it's not. I just tried using it in a Zoom meeting. When I clicked the icon, the box where my video should have been just flashed back and forth between gray and black. The camera indicator light blinked along with it, but I never showed up on screen.I'm not very techie, but can someone please tell me how many places are there that can control turning the video on and off? Ca
