Windows 10: Built-in laptop camera shows a gray screen with nothing else on it whenever I try to use it.

I recently encountered a problem that causes my laptop camera to not show any display other than a blank gray screen. I've already tried camera permissions in privacy and security, windows defender exclusions, updated drivers, reinstalled the pc camera in device manager, checked the camera itself for anything blocking it or a privacy slider, and none of it worked. I feel it's worth mentioning the fact that I'm not able to insert a screenshot into this post, and when I try to insert a screenshot of the issue I get a message saying either 'something went wrong' or the screenshot shows a large

I am unable to use the built-in camera on my laptop. I looked at the replies to questions similar to mine and one exactly like mine. I have gone to device manager several times and no camera is listed, thee audio is listed but no camera. I cannot update
software drivers or make software compatible(I have windows10) because there is no app or device listed. What can i do?

settings to see if the camera access is turned on. Kindly follow the steps below to check the camera privacy settings:

• Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
• Near the top of the Settings app window is the search box, kindly type the word "webcam" or "camera".
• From the list of results choose Camera privacy settings.
• Make sure that "Let apps use my camera" toggle is set to On.

Built in Camera not working

Hello,

I have a LENOVO T480 Laptop with windows 10, device and OS up to date and done the research on all similar subject but no resolution so far.

The built in Camera is not working, it's only showing a gray wallpaperwith crossed camera in the middle.

Can anybody help me with this?
