Yes so I basically just want to know how can I access my photos without having to charge the phone. I had forgotten about the Microsoft account password and everything else that concerns it. I need help.

Plugged in, not charging


There are 3 points of failure for a laptop that does not charge (And has been determined to be a hardware problem and NOT a software/OS problem). OS problems can be tested as mentioned above.

• Dying battery (end of recharge cycle limit) as DustSailor and bro67 have mentioned.
• Defective/dead charger/power supply
• Broken DC In port (very common)

Sometimes in the case of a broken DC In port you can wiggle the power jack in the port and see it starts to charge and then goes back to "Plugged In Not Charging" when you let go. But not always.

Sometimes with the Charger/Power Supply it is only the jack that is defective.

First order of business is to borrow a Charger/Power Supply (be sure it has the same voltage IN as yours) and test it to see if it will charge the battery.

The rest is replacing parts until you get to the offending one.
The Charger/Power Supply is cheapest to replace first.
Then the Battery
Then to the shop to see if the DC In port can/should be replaced.

 

Thunderbolt port- can it be used to charge the device?

Hey there,

My brother just got a new Dell Vostro as a gift, and the specs are pretty impressive.

The device comes with a Thunderbolt port but I don't know the type.

Yesterday after finishing the setup and leaving it in hibernation, the battery died. The adapter works and the light glows up but the device isn't charging. I wanted to test if the TB port can be used for charging. I've read many articles and none of them are convincing.

So my questions are:

1. Can I charge it through the TB port?
   
2. What type of cable is required? Any special one? I have a USB Type-C charger from a Redmi 9 Power and it fits well.
   

I haven't even got to know the model number of the Vostro LOL, so if you need the model number, I'm sorry IDK because the laptop is dead.

And no, I don't need help in fixing the not-charging issue, it's at the Dell service centre now so it'll be fixed.



PS: if this should be in the Dell forums, I will create a thread there, but first I'd need opinions from you guys.

 

N80 Model Number Question

Hi to all, could anybody answer some doubts I have regarding the version of my N80 is: Soft: V 4.0623.0.41 (not the last, but could not upgrade via NSU like many others) - 26-07-2006 - RM-92 (what is the meaning of this 92?) - Nokia N80 (19)(what is the
meaning of the 19) - 0528530jn13ad (this is listed as model number, I suppose that the really model is 0528530, right?) Thanks in advance.
