Windows 10: c/drive, d/drive ,photo app

Hi ,please be kind, I am 64 years old,I've had laptops for years,but I know nothing about them,apart from switching on and off.So if anybody is kind enough to help me ,please reply in real easy terms.I will try to explain my issue the best I can.laptop has c and d drive,I have a lot of photo's which I transferred many times with each new laptop,my current laptop may need replacing soon,I am trying to transfer all the photos showing in the photo app to an external drive,when I look at c/drive,I can't see all the photo's and the same when I look at d/drive,so when I upload photo's from my phon

How do I move photos from the my photo app to the pictures folder on the C drive?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

  Open Photo App.
  
• 
  Select the photo and right click on the photo.
  
• 
  Select Open Folder.
  
• 
  From there you will be able to copy all the photos to C: drive

I've already done your suggestions....... yep, need a bigger drive for C: suppose!

 

Problem viewing photos on DRIVE D, but not on Drive C

I started using Windows 10 (64-bit) in March 2018, when I bought my new HP desktop PC.

I was told this PC's huge drive D would be great for my huge photography work (while Drive C, being only tiny, was not the place to store my data, but the OS).

Now I find many of my photos can't open on Drive D (while they can on Drive C)!

I find it's due to name length. Please NOTE: Name, not path (name must be under 42 characters, or the program shuts down; but long path with multiplied subfolders is accepted).

Why is this a problem on Drive D, and not on Drive C?
