  1. C drive does not show when running Ubuntu

I am trying to recover unuploaded OneDrive documents from a Dell Optiplex 7780 running Windows 11 that I got locked out of. I assume there should be a folder on the C drive where the un-uploaded documents would be stored. My plan was to use an Ubuntu bootable USB to access the C drive and copy the important files to another USB. However when I opened "Other Locations" in Files, I can't see the disk where I thought it should be. I would appreciate any help on this. If you have any other ideas on how to recover the files feel free to share.

    :)

Move C Drive to SSD from hard drive

Yes you could run windows on the spin drive or transfer the OS to the SSD. How to Move OS to Another Drive
Now for the VM. First you'll need to download a VM. My personal pic is VMware Workstation 16 Free for non-commercial use. Then download the ISO for Ubuntu 21.04 Install VMWare then what this video. It'll show you step by step how it's done. He's doing Ubuntu version 20.04 but it the same process.

can you use ubuntu without a hard drive?

I don't recommend running off of usb, however i do suggest getting a small hard drive for that laptop as cheap as you can get ( about 8b should do the trick nicely), and run ubuntu on that.

    C: drive

    Hi Viva,

If you recently made some changes on your machine and needs to access
    C: drive
, you can do it by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + E.
    • On the left pane, click This PC. It will show you list of different folders. For
C: drive, it may look like this.
