Windows 10: C Drive filling up with nothing. All fixes are temporary or don't work. Need help?

I don't use the C Drive, but am losing space. Found a fix that got me to 27 gigs free but it is still losing space. I'm looking for a way to free up space and stop nothing from filling up space. Apps haven't worked, I don't know if Treewiz would help, this is very frustrating. Please help.

Have you check if Windows is currently downloading an update?

When you download from the Internet, the file you are downloading is placed in a cache that is on the C drive, usually the Temporary Internet Files folder. Once the file is completely downloaded, the "Save as" option in the browser will then move it to
another location that you specify. That's why, during the download, the C drive fills: that's where the temporary files reside.

 

C: Drive Filling Up Fast!

Hi!

My laptop's (Win 10 OS) C: drive fills up very fast. I've tried almost everything like:

1) Using cleaning software

2) Deleting temp, prefetch and cache files

3) Disabling Windows updates

4) Allocating more space to C:

5) Deleting software

But still within a month, or two C: fills up. I don't understand what's happening. Can someone suggest a fix?
