Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

• Are you logged into an Administrator or a standard user account?
• Do you get any error code or message when you try to open Task Manager?
• Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

I suggest you to try follow the path to open Task Manager

C:\Windows\System32

Double click on the file, taskmgr.exe and see if Task Manager opens.

Try the following steps to take the ownership of the C drive.

• Open This PC
• Right click on the C:\ drive and go to Properties.
• Click on Security tab and select Edit on Change permissions.
• Check all the boxes under it.
• Finally, go to Advanced and Change the Owner name.
• Click on Owner and type your user name and click on Check.
• Click on Apply and Ok.
• Check if the issue persists.

If the issue still persists, you can further try running a System File Checker (SFC) Scan on the system and check if it helps.

System file check is a utility built into the Operating System that will check for system file corruption the
sfc /scannow command (System File Check) scans the integrity of all protected operating system files and replaces incorrect, corrupted, changed, or damaged versions with the correct versions where possible.

access denied c: drive

tried that it worked until the explorer.exe step ... it didnt work i managed to get to my c drive through the task manager processes but it was still the same...
