Windows 10: C drive lost a couple of Gb without downloading anything

Hello, I have a little problem. My C drive had 175gb of free space and one day after removing the temporary files ( I have no idea if it has to do anything with removing the temp files, but if I remember correctly, it happened right after removing the temp files and restarting the Pc.), it started showing 168gb. I haven't downloaded anything, there was no update, and I don't have any restore points. I am afraid I might have a virus, but I reinstalled the Pc a couple of weeks ago and I didn't download anything suspucious. I also think that if I had a virus, the free space would decrease very quickly, but now I just have 8gb less than before for some reason. What do you think? Thank you for your answers.

• I am unable to install the update,
• I suspect the windows 10 need this much space and it is some kind of glitch,
• Please suggest a way to free up some space as I don't prefer to format partition C:

 

C:\ Drive Lost 18 GB Hard Drive Space & Created H:\Drive

Dear Community,

Did Microsoft push out another Windows 10 update. I just lost 18 GB of hard drive space on my C: Drive and now there is a H: Drive in my file explorer.

Any explanations?

What's eating up my \C: drive?

That reduced System Volume Information to 662 KB, left $GetCurrent at 3.8 GB which is called media when clicking the little arrow. Storage sense or Disk cleanup gave no reference to $GetCurrent, and the [2 files] are pagefile.sys and swapfile.sys.

I will thank everyone and mark this thread as solved, I now have over 27 GB of free space on my C: drive, it must just slowly get down to size where Windows warned me with a red "flag" when viewing This PC.
