    C drive nearly full after upgrading to Windows 11?


    I recently bought a new laptop with a 500 GB SDD. I had around 430 GB of free space at first, but after upgrading to Windows 11, my computer claims C drive is nearly full - I only have around 30 GB left. How is this possible exactly and how can I get GB back?

    I've already done your suggestions....... yep, need a bigger drive for C: suppose!

    What's eating up my \C: drive?

    From the list above you haven't used storage sense or disk clean.
    $GetCurrent is upgrade files which can be cleared with either .

    for
    • Step 1: Press Windows+Pause Break key to open System and choose System protection.
    • Step 2: Select the hard disk whose system protection is on, and click Configure.
    • Step 3: Tap the Delete button.
    • Step 4: Choose Continue to remove all restore points on the selected drive.

    C drive nearly full after upgrading to Windows 11?

    My windows 10 upgrade consumes all of it's drive c: space (50 GB)

    • My windows 10 upgrade consumes all of it's drive c: space (50 GB)
    • I am unable to install the update,
    • I suspect the windows 10 need this much space and it is some kind of glitch,
    • Please suggest a way to free up some space as I don't prefer to format partition C:
