C drive needs repair on every. single. startup.

    Hey all,

I have a custom made computer running windows 10. Its on version 19041.450 os build?. This computer is less then 6 months old, but recently I have been having an issue with my C drive ssd.

I have contacted support multiple times about this issue and none seems to resolve it. I shut down my computer properly every night and still the C drive seems to be corrupted ? by the morning.

Even when I let it repair the C drive on startup, when I go to check the drive for errors through the computer, there is STILL repairs that need to be done. I could sit here repairing the drive all day and it would never fully be 'repaired'. I checked every stick of RAM for any issues and still nothing. The computer is at 100% reliability checking through the reliability monitor and yet it needs repairs every single day. This issue is so confusing and elusive and no one on technical support has ever been able to resolve it. The computer is fully up to date and everything.

Whats going on with this C drive? what can I do to fix it? I could really use some help and advice ifanyone has had a similar issue. I really feel quite lost but I don't to give up and continue to let this happen to my computer! :

If this helps, I have a Ryzen 3600 CPU and an ASROCK b450a motherboard.

    Thanks for reading!

    :)

    repairing drive c

The part of process that you are in when updating Windows is the check disk (CHKDSK), the system is checking your drive for errors.

Are you still having the issue and stuck at Scanning and repairing drive process?

As a workaround, you can follow these steps to bypass the CHKDSK process:

    • Hold down the power button for 4 seconds.
    • The PC will reboot.
    • You will get stuck again on the process, repeat step 1.
    • You will get a message "press any key to bypass the chkdsk."
    • Press any key and it will continue on the update process.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
