  1. C-Media Update => mouse problems

    In english

    I recently applied an update (C-media drive) to my windows 10 dell computer. Right after that, a game mouse a love (a C3tech MG4204-2) was no more recognized. However, this mouse works perfectly on other computers (and other mice work on the same computer). So, there is a sort of incompatibility with this specific mouse and the updated drive from C-media. I tried to restore the computer from the last restoring point, but it did not worked.

    I realized that, in the device manager, when I unplug and re-plug the game mouse, instead of appearing under "mouse and other devices", it appears (with a exclamation mark) as an "audio device". When I uninstall this "audio device", I get control of my mouse back! Problem solved? Not really. Unfortunately when the computer is rebooted or when I simply unplug my (2nd) generic logitech mouse, the problem comes back. I don't know nor (a) how to uninstall the c-media update from windows 10 update tools, neither (b) how to permanently uninstall c-media. Any help would be great. Thanks

    :)

    Problems with KB3194496 update not recognizing bluetooth mouse

    Hi,

    We would suggest you to update the driver of your mouse.

    To update your mouse driver, follow the steps below:

    • Make sure that your wireless mouse is connected to your PC.
    • Click the Start button, type "device manager" in the search box, and then select Device Manager.
    • In the list of hardware categories, look for Mice and other pointing device and double-click on it.
    • Look for your mouse name and right-click on it and select properties.
    • Once your mouse tab appears, select Driver and click
      Update Driver, and then follow the instructions.

    If that does not work, we recommend you to download the latest drivers from the website of your mouse manufacturer and install it manually.

    Let us know how it goes.
