Hi All,

Can someone please help me fix this error.

There was some windows 10 updates done a few days ago and when I want to open any documents (regardless of what drive they are on), I get this error message.

So before I do a factory reset, is there a way to resolve this.

C:\Users\(my name)\Appdata Error\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar\ Excel 2016.Ink OR Word 2016.Ink

Hi Dave,

To resolve your issue with AppData files, please follow the steps below:

Method 1: Locate the AppData folder

• Click Windows logo + R.
• Type C:/Users/<pc username login>/AppData/ then hit
  Enter.
• A new pop-up window will open and it will show your AppData
  folder.
  
  

Method 2: Recreate the AppData folder.

• Go to C:/Users/<pc username login>.
• Right click then select New > Folder.
• Name the folder AppData.

Looking at AppData of different users

If you login with an Admin account, then you can see everybody's AppData folder in C:\Users\Their respective user name\AppData

Are these not visible on your computer?
