    I am trying to free up space and I noticed my Users folder was larger than I thought it would be. I am on Windows 10My C:\Users folder contains 2 folders. One with my name and the other called 'Public'. When I check their sizes Public is small 121 KB with not many folders and the other is 7 GB with 8,467 Folders.However, when I open it I only see a handful of folders and their sizes doesn't even sum up to 1 GB. I have enabled hidden items through the 'View' route but that only reveals 1 new file and that is sized in KBs.Is it normal for the folder to be of this size with so many folders 8,4

    I understand that you are facing issues with changing the folder name under Users folder in Windows 10.

    I suggest you to perform the below steps and check if it helps.

    1. Open the File Explorer and double click on C drive.

    2. Open Users folder from the list.

    3. Click on the user name folder and then tap on F2 Key.

    4. Change the name of the folder and hit on Enter Key.

    5. It will ask for Administrator Permission and click on Ok.

    6. Folder name will be changed.

    Compare a text file containing file names with files in a folder

    Hi,
    I have a text files containing a list of file names and I wish to compare that to a folder with files in it.
    The folder contains a rather large number of files and I want to see if files in that folder exist in the file with the list of file names.

    Hope I have explained my problem clearly.

    Would appreciate any help

    What is the Container folder and why is it missing?

    They have 5 steps listed? Can you not get the files they mention in step 5? I can't tell if Containers is the name of a Windows file or just an internal reference or what.
