Windows 10: C:\Windows Error

I have been trying to copy a file to the folder C:\Windows. (regedit.exe because my old one disappeared so I'm trying to replace it with one from a different computer.) I have given ownership of the Windows folder to "Everyone" and even given myself full control. but it still says "you need admin permission to perform this action." Or "access is denied." Any ideas?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

okay ive done the same thing as you but i cant put the file back into the folder

• Copy nvlddmkm.sys in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_5518e59e8d3b48f4\ to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ and replace the existing one.
