Windows 10: C:\WINDOWS\system\rsaenh.dll is either not designed to run on Windows of it contains an error.

I keep getting this pop-up error message that I cannot fix.


C:\WINDOWS\system\rsaenh.dll is either not designed to run on Windows of it contains an error.



I searched for and failed to find either one on my PC anywhere, I also couldn't find them on Microsoft.

The directions to "Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000020" , are of no help since I didn't not knowingly install CareScan.exe on my PC and I cannot find it on my programs list in control panel. Who is the system admihnistrator? Who is the software vindor? Is it Windows, since the message identifies it as C:\WINDOWS\system32\rsaenh.dll ?

I've been trying for weeks to find and fix this problem on my own. Could it be somehow this CareScan was put on my PC by a hacker?

Also my PC screen gets messed up with diagonal horizontal hold lines full screen and I have no mouse or keyboard control when that happens. So I just shut my PC off by the front panel on\off button.

Since you are getting same error "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCR120.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error".

We suggest that you refer to this
thread as some customers are also having the same issue and try to check the suggested fix of Santosh_Rai.

It worked. After those edits in the Registry Editor I just reinstalled DirectX and it didn't give me any error but unfortunately the game gives an error "C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\d3dx9_38.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error."
