Windows 10: c000021a fatal system error on Windows 10

I have upgraded windows 7 on my hp PC to windows 10 long ago and it's been running perfectly until I hit, by mistake, the "SYSTEM RECOVERY F11" in the BIOS menu. It brought me back to what looked like a windows 7 boot screen, then straight to the famous “c000021a fatal system error” blue screen. Tried much of the help offered on the net, F8 with safe mode, last known good configuration, none worked.I happen to have the win 7 boot CD from 2010. I used it and I was able to boot only to see the AOMEI Backupper window and menu. Nothing else. When I closed it, the PC went back to rebooting from the

Fatal Error

I've been trying to format my system but right after it finishes formatting I get a Fatal Error during the Windows installation process. That Fatal Error is a Data Error (cyclic redundancy check). I know that it's because of my hard drives, but how do I fix this issue? I have 2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB SATA II Hard Drives in RAID 0. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. *Smile

 

c000021a Fatal System Error

I have had this same error on several of my computers. My OS ranges from Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10. I feel this bug is more along the lines of a Microsoft But in programming. When I do updates I get the same error message. I tried to do the rebuild
of windows, start windows as normal, I have even tried the F8 and did the Rebuild of windows start up and I have tried the restore to a previous known working version.

After working on this issue. I finally shut down the computer and let it sit for about 5 minutes then restarted my computer. Instead of repairing start up. I started Windows as Normal and the Windows continued to load and completed the updates that caused
my system to crash in the first place.

This Bug has occurred on different computers and on different OS's I feel it has to be a flaw in Windows.

For those of you battling with this same issue try my suggestion if you get this same error code c000021a after updating your windows. Shut the computer down for 5 minutes then restart the computer then when it gives you the option to repair start up or
load windows as normal Try to let it start up as normal and see if it bypasses the bug like it did for me.

Windows 7 C000021a fatal error / system restore





Gateway desktop running windows 7 with intel i5 processor. This morning on startup got blue screen with c000021a fatal system error screen

did hard reboot and this time on startup got black screen with options to use safe mode system repair or start windows normally

chose safe mode sytem repair which eventually asked me if i would like to system restore to a previous point, i said yes and was taken to the system recovery options screen

from there i chose system restore and went through all the dialogue boxes where i chose a restore point and clicked through the boxes warning me that i cant interrupt a system restore.

when the restore started the status bar saying system restore in process only stayed on the screen for no longer than 5 seconds and then dissapeared , going back to the system recovery options screen, which i have attached a picture of.

i have let it set here like this for about 30 minutes or so, thinking that maybe the system restore is happening in the background and i cant see it. But nothing has changed.

is it safe to restart? Did system restore complete or fail? Should i try again?
