Windows 10: CaC Enabling on AVD and Configuration of DISA certs for users.

Hello community, have AVD with three hosts WIN 10 for 9 folks. Pretty, pretty small. Only issue I am finding is that one of my KPIs is for the users to be able to use their common access cards on the hosts. No federation needed just need to be able to use the hosts as a jumpbox for other requirements that do need cac. e.g. signing documents, accessing official sites remotely This is a DoD environment but no requirement to federate, just to use the cac with the DISA certificates. The documentation I found is for individual profiles, but will installing the root certs on my profile or the m

Certs of CAC Cards

Thanks for the advice. I'm actually a Defense Contractor and everything was working well until we went to Windows 10. I've been on alot of the assistance sites and followed all the directions but I still only see the email cert when I sign on to NMCI
webmail or any other government CAC enabled site. I have managed to get past the "this is not a safe site" issue. One of my coworkers has said that her certs come up with a "More" icon that allows her to chose the correct certificate but I have not had that
experience. I'll just keep working on it!

Windows Security Not Recognizing Inserted CAC

I suggest you do the following:

1. Remove your CAC from the reader.

2. Visit the Internet options located in the control panel.

3. Click the content tab.

4.. Click Clear SSL state.

5. Click certificates.

6. As a backup measure export all the certs found under Personal.

7. Remove all the certs found under Personal and close the window.

8. Place your CAC back in the reader.

9. Go back and check the Personal certificates area and they should be back.

10. Launch your web browser and try to visit sites requiring a CAC.
