Windows 10: Calculator app and Microsoft Store won't open, appear to not exist

For no apparent reason, my calculator won't open, and instead gives a "This app can't open" error. While trying to troubleshoot it, I realised that the Microsoft Store has a similar problem - clicking on the app from the start menu does nothing, and trying to open it through a link gives the error "This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action." Both apps appear greyed out in my Apps & Features menu, and as far as I can see they are the only two with issues.I have done some troubleshooting myself - resetting them from Apps & Features did nothing, and tryi

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Run Windows app troubleshooter.

Refer to the below link:

Step 2: Run shell commands for Windows store and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Command prompt(Admin) to open elevated Command prompt.
  
• 
  Type the following commands.
  
  
  
  powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml
  
• 
  Hit enter, the blackscreen will appear still for a couple of seconds. After a couple of second a new line saying C:\.... will appear.
  
• 
  Close Command Prompt.
  
• 
  Try to start the Windows Store again.

when I download a game from the Microsoft store it won`t play

the splash screen appears then goes

I have a core i5 with an nvidivia graphics card I tb hdd and 8 gb ram

I have tried the diagnostic for microsoft store and it say cache may need fixing.

 

Microsoft apps and Store won't open and won't install

Hey guys, 2/3 days ago I resetted my msi laptop, but after the reset I can't open Microsoft apps anymore, like the calculator, photos, alarms & clock, weather, Microsoft store, etc. (Microsoft edge works just fine tho)

I already tried numerous 'solutions' from these pages:

But I don't know anymore what to do, anyone familiar with this? Or anyone can help me out?

I fixed it with installing a clean version of windows.
