Windows 10: Calculator controls mess up after a bit of use

So I've noticed a few issues with the new calculator. I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't point out what it is. Basically after having a calculator window open for a while, it stops reacting to commands properly. Mainly Ctrl+C doesn't copy, I have to select & copy with the mouse instead (or restart it which is what I usually do).

Other times is also re-maps the enter key to some other key besides "=" which messes up the calculation I was doing. For example it happens sometimes when I use the "2nd" button, but not every time. Can anyone help me out with these issues?

With all this said, I'm glad they fixed the bug from previous versions where dividing by zero would practically lock up the program. Damn it took 'em a looooooong ass time to fix that one lol.

Windows 10 Calculator app gets always on top and compact mode features

Why not make a suggestion on the Feedback Hub.

I think this is a step in the right direction. I use Calculator daily.

 

Color bit depth is at 6-bit on Display properties of Windows 10 pro

Try the below suggested steps and check if the suggested options are available to change the Color bit Depth value

1. Right click on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
2. Expand the Display, and then highlight the Change resolution.
3. On the right side, check if there is 8 bpc listed under
   Output color depth.
4. You may select 8 bpc and restart the device to witness the changes.

Please answer these questions to get more clarity on this issue:

  Did you make any changes to the PC prior to this issue?

  Are you facing this issue on the calculator app or the built-in calculator?
  

Some problems can be fixed by signing out of your account and then signing back in. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and select Sign out. Once you’ve signed out, sign back in to your account.

To open the built-in calculator, follow these steps:

  Press Windows key + R to get the run window.
  
• 
  Type “calc” and hit enter to open the calculator.
  

If you are facing issue with the calculator app, then you will be able to solve some problems by running a troubleshooter that will automatically fix some common issues with Windows Store Apps. Once this is done check the status.

Open the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter by following these steps:

  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  View All.
  

Click on “Windows Store Apps” troubleshooter to fix problems with Windows Store Apps. Follow the on-screen directions to run this troubleshooter and restart the computer to check if this helps.
