Calendar App in Windows 10 -- Assigning Colours to different accounts

The Calendar app suddenly changed colors of all my calendars (including local and google accounts) to some incredibly awful acid colours. For some reason i cannot change colors of my calendars in settings -- at the first sync or input the system reverts to the same ugly random colours. Deleting and reinstalling account did not change -- the machine just picks the colors randomly and does not let me change. Any ideas?

    :)

  3. Re: Can no longer colour code appointments within Outlook calendar app?!

    Hi all,

Up until two days ago I was able to colour code events within calendars attached to each email account I have synced with my Outlook calendar app. I did this by firstly entering an appointment into the calendar app and then right clicking on the appointment
after it had been entered in and assigning it one of about 5 or 6 different colours. This was such a useful feature to visually differentiate between, e.g. social events, important reminders, birthdays, events attached to work or to childcare, etc.

Now when I try to do the above process, I get the following options: "show as" "free", "working elsewhere", "tentative", "busy" or "out of office". This is not helpful and I just want to get the feature I used to have access to, back.

I am certain this change has followed my computer updating itself. I normally try to stop automatic updates but this time my computer must have rebooted itself when I was out of the room and I have now lost one of the most helpful features of the outlook
    calendar app.

Please can anyone help explain to me what's happened? Is there any way to get the ability colour code appointments back?

NB When I talk about use of colour, I mean assigning colour to specific appointment types and
not assigning a colour to all calendar events for a specific email account within the calendar app.
