Windows 10: Calendar events only open in edit mode, can't click links

I have links in the descriptions of each calendar item for my day to make tasks easier. However, when I click on the event to access this link, it only opens in edit mode. Editing event on alternate Calendar

Hi Greg,

As per the info provided, I understand that you are able to create events in your Calendar app but you cannot view them in a particular calendar.

To tackle this issue, I suggest that while you create or edit an event, under the Calendar drop down
choose the correct and appropriate Calendar that you wish to add the event in.

gmail calendar event is deleted by calendar app

If your Google calendar can't be synced with the Windows Calendar app, then follow the below Microsoft article.

If the issue persists then, I suggest you to uninstall the apps which came inbuilt with Windows 10 using Windows PowerShell and reinstall using Windows Store. Follow the below steps.

• 
  Open the Start menu, type Windows PowerShell in
  the search bar.
  
• 
  Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Enter the below command to reinstall the Mail and Calendar app.
  

get-appxpackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | remove-appxpackage


After performing the above steps, install the Mail and Calendar app form the Windows Store.

Unable to find how to edit/ delete Calendar events

As per the description I understand that you are facing issues with accessing the events from Calendar, do let us know the following to assist you better:

• Are you referring to Calendar app/ Mail client version of Outlook/ Outlook.com?
• Have you made any changes in the settings with Calendar prior to this issue?
• What exactly happens wen you try to edit/ delete/ access the events from Calendar?
