Windows 10: Calendar: Multiple events in month view

Just installed Win10 yesterday, and taking a first look at the Calendar app. Unless I have overlooked something, this app has a flaw that makes it almost not worth using.

I'm using the app to display my Google Calendar events, a month at a time. In many cases, I have enough events scheduled for a single day that they won't all fit in the cell in Month View. Is there really no way to display all the events for a given date (including the ones that don't fit) in Month View? (For example, in the Calendar app on my phone, it is usually the case that not all the events for a given date show in the grid, but tapping the date in question displays a pop-up that shows them all). This app just runs them off the bottom of the cell. It doesn't even alert you to the fact that there are additional events for that date that it isn't displaying!

Dare I hope I'm missing something here?

Lumia 535, Windows 8.1

If you have multiple events at same day then go to calendar then tap the view icon at bottom set to month.

After that if you have multiple events

At same day then there will be coloured no of strip.

 

Calendar does not show all events in 'month' view

I am using Calendar on Windows 10. Sometimes I will have two or three events in one day, however when looking at 'month' view only the first of these show up. You have to change to 'week' view or 'day' view to see all appointments on one day. This is really
annoying for planning meetings etc - because you cannot look at your calendar over a month period and be certain when you are free or not.

Has anyone else had these issues?

Is there some sort of setting that needs to be changed?

I guess nobody shares my angst for the perceived shortcomings of the Calendar app.

All the same, thought I'd mention that I installed an app from the Store called One Calendar that seems to be free, and does not suffer from the above-stated problem (when viewing in Month View, if there are 'n' events that don't fit in the grid, One Calendar displays a little '+n' at the top of the cell, alerting you to the fact that there's more you're not seeing; then clicking on the cell brings up the Day View, so you can see it all).

All's well that ends well.

Cant see any way to do it like the phone

For me, I just stick to week view, but would be nice if month expanded out if too many entries

 

I have given up on the app and use a pinned tab in my browser
