Windows 10: calendar sync?

Does anyone know if there is a way to sync the calendar in 10 with my iphone calendar; or is this something that probably wont happen until way down the line?

How to sync an alternate calendar instead of the default calendar

Hi,

I recently converted to an OMNIA phone. WIth my previous NOKIA phone, I can program the syncing of the calendar to sync with my (which is the one in office live) that I use as my default rather than the default calendar provided by my ISP.
IN other words, I can choose a calendar to sync with the phone. Now that is convenient. Thing is, with windows mobile, I can't figure out how to do this. I want to use my and sync it with my phone rather than the one in my outlook. Is
this possible and how do you do it? If not, then I guess this calls for a software upgrade.

 

After upgrading from Windows 8 to Windows 10, none of my calendar appointments transferred over.

Problem solved. I successfully returned to Windows 8.1.

Can anyone help answer this for me please? Is there any way to sync my iphone with the built in calendar in 10? It says something about asking if my email is eas server type email account or something like that but it doesnt give any options for syncing my iphone calendar with the built in one here in 10. any help would be appreciated.

 

Will this happen even here in windows 10 even though its still in testing format?

The thing is Matt, people are testing Win10 and not relaly paying much attention to one-offs like iPhone ... sync ... calendars (at least I'm not *Wink)

Members have to research it just as you would, so learn to help yourself (you've been around for a while) and search EightForums and Google (keep in mind that Win10 and Win8 are close enough to try what you find for Win8 on Win10).

Most devices use a canonical form to synce data - vCal is one for calendars - I have no clue what iPhone uses - that's for you to reasearch.

yes; i have noticed that 10 is eerily similar to 8; so yea i will look up those items. But i figured i would ask on here too since this is a 10 forum also even though yes i know 10 is still in testing stages. Thanks for the links to those articles as well.

 

IT might be helpful if you describe the steps you're taking to try and sync the calendars. I'm not sure where eMail might come into the picture.

Also describe your goal as clearly as possible. you're trying to sync a calendar on the iPhone with the Calendar App on Win10, not a calendar in an eMail client?

ical seems to be the canonical calendar format for apple - not sure - just a guess.
