I have Windows 10 pro and use Chrome. I therefore can use the Google calendar.
I also have a Galaxy S5 with its own calendar. It is nice because it has finger hovering to read small print.
I also have @live.com email so have an Outlook calendar.
Is there way I can sync my phone(unknown brand) calendar with my PC? I read some calendars cannot be synced.
    I have read the tutorials.

    Thank you

    :)

Manage Calendars C6-01 -How do I delete calendars?

Last weekend I bought a new C6-01. I was able to backup and sync the data from my old Nokia 6120 phone to the C6-01. But in the process I now appear to have 5 Calendars under Manage Calendars.

I have rationalized these so that now I only have entries under 1 of the calendars, and have hidden 4 calendars from display.

There are options to Add new calendars, but what about deleting calendars?

Can anyone explain how this can be done?

Also - while Nokia promotes the C6-01 as having multiple calendars, I want just one so that work and home are balanced and I don't make a doctor's appointment on a day full of work meetings. It may sound great but I actually just want to manage 1 calendar
    - and to do that electronically. Thankfully, after a week of investigation, my C6-01 does sync with my work Lotus Notes Calendar

Hopefully someone out there can tell me how to delete calendars :)

Thanks for that from me too - was just about to put question on board for C7 but then found this. I never think of the long press solution!

    Hi maranna.

Is your chrome calendar associated with a gmail account? ( You sign into chrome.)

What OS is your phone running?

If you have a gmail account that holds your G calendar and your phone runs android is it safe to assume your gmail account is on phone? Is your outlook (live.com) account on phone.

  6. Okay so its android. Open the calendar app on phone. (Now I don't have an android so... )

You want to get into the settings or tools for calendars. On older androids you would drag up from bottom, on newer I think there are three bars upper left.

What you are looking for is what calendars the phone should display. It might be set on phone, you would tap gmail, assuming you added Gmail account to phone. There could also be an option to display calendar from Outlook.

If my directions are wrong you can search Google on "How do I set which calendar to display on Marshmallow android".

I was told to sign in with Gmail on both devices so I will try both. I know what you mean about.
Prior to marshmallow other calendars was quite easy but I will see.

Great. Signing into Chrome is different than adding Gmail account to phone. Do you get gmail on your phone?

I see both G calendar and the stock one with same data on the phone. G does not have hovering feature but may come in handy if I decide to get an iPhone.
However, I do not see any functional calendar on the desktop either live.com or google calendar. I have google set to sync..
I'd give thumbs up but when I try it says I must spread more.

  10. Okay, when you are in your gmail account click on the nine squares in the upper right corner, the waffle. This will open a set of icons. One has a "31" on it, should look like icon on phone. Click and it opens you gmail calendar.

In live.com (outlook.com) (or hotmail or MSN) click on the waffle in the upper left corner. It opens icons. The calendar should be there.

Gmail will be easier to sync but both should be doable.

Sorry to hear the thumbs up is restricted, that;s technology for you.

I have tried as you say with both calendars.
No information from the phone goes to the desktop; it is odd that even the google calendar does not sync.
I have the phone set to sync the calendar.
I will just use my phone's calendar to keep it simple and thank you.

I did not want to keep bothering you so I sort of signed off -sorry.
I am still trying to sync my google calendar with the desktop.
I opened chrome on the phone and accessed the google phone that way. I click on google calendar via chrome on the PC too. They were both in front of me but the entries from the phone were not on the calendar on the phone.
if you are still willing can you help.
How can 2 calendars signed in via chrome and look the same not be synced if sync is checked?

Well I'm not sure so we will have to discover.

First Chrome is a browser which happens to be Google's browser but it has little to do with calendar or syncing (except the things it sync's like history, bookmarks, passwords etc.)

Where we want to be is inside our gmaill account. You can sign in with chrome browser. Once you are signed into gmail and look at calendars they have to be the same if it is the same gmail account. The browser is just the tool you are using to access gmail.

Now your phone has an app for the calendar and in most Android deliveries it has a 31 on face of app. Now vendors customize the you know what out Android but you should still see the 31. Once you found the 31 on phone open it and ensure your gmail account is set to display. On desktop open Chrome, sign into gmail and go to calendar. Enter something and give it a few minutes to display in the calendar app on phone.

Please let me know how this goes.

On chrome, yes you sign in. If you click on three dots, upper right on desktop, click on settings, the first thing that opens is the name signed in and the ability to see what is being synced. (History, apps, bookmarks). On Android there is also a way to open settings in chrome to see who is signed in (must be the same as desktop) and some abilities to control syncing, if I recall. Again, this isn't about contacts or calendar syncing, it's browser syncing.

I did exactly as you said but they do not sync. I opened gmail on the desktop and clicked on the dots upper right where I saw the blue 31 and opened it.
On the phone I opened the blue 3. I clicked sync and refresh but they do not sync. I went to google on the phone and made sure sync is checked. Entries are on the phone where I put them originally but not on the desktop.
    Did I miss something?
Maybe I have the wrong calendar selected on:calendars but do not know how to make them the same, if that is the case.
Again, Windows 10 Pro desktop and Galaxy S5 phone.
    Thank you for your patience.

  15. When you are in your calendar, the 31 app, can you get to the point where you select which calendar to display. I think top left is three bars, then settings?

Can you see your gmail account as an account to display?

If not you have to add and set to display.
