    Call Microsoft or call HP? Internet disconnect


    I spent one hour with RCN my internet provider trying to get connected to the internet. We went through every setting, every process, rebooted several times and I cannot get the computer to connect to the internet.

    RCN says to call HP the desktop computer company. She thinks it's a computer problem. But imo it sounds like a software problem and I should call Microsoft.

    Eventually I'll probably need a Geeksquad visit, but I want to know from you -- should I call HP first or Microsoft. The computer turns on. It's the internet that's not working.

    OS Windows 10

    Yes, we tried several browsers.

    Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).

    Internet disconnection

    I don't know why I have disconnection while using the Internet. Is it due to the ISP or the router or modem? The modem and router all have lights on. It disconnected for less than 30s then back on.

    INTERNET KEEPS DISCONNECTING IN WINDOWS 10

    Hi,

    In order to help you better, could you please confirm a couple of things.

    • Do you get any error message when the internet disconnects?
    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • Are you able to connect through wired connection?

    I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1: I suggest you to run the internet troubleshooter as below and check if it helps.

    • Type Troubleshooting in the search bar.
    • Once the window open click on View All located on the left navigation pane.
    • Locate and select Internet Connection and run the in build troubleshooter.

    Method 2: I suggest you to follow the steps from the below article
    “Fix network connection issues” and check if it helps.
