Windows 10: Called wrong tech support don’t know if it’s too late

Hello, this morning I was playing games on my new computer when I ran into a windows bluescreen. I tried troubleshooting it myself but couldn’t find a fix. I mistakenly called a third party tech support company called guruaid. I had my friend talk to them while I googled them almost immediatly after letting them remotely access my computer I found out they were bad news and I ceased the connection. I’m wondering if they had an oppourtunity to install anything on my computer during the almost 2 minutes they were in? I did a soft reset of my computer and it deleted all my manually installed files (games and apps). I want to know if they can still access my pc or not?


TLDR: Called scam tech support, let them in my computer for 2 minutes and ended the connection. Are they still able to get in?

T-Mobile Shadow - Beep Tone when initiating a call

When making a call- wheter from the contact list or direct entry- there is a single beep when the call initiates. I have contacted T-Mobiles customer support and was tolds there was no way they knew of to silence the sound. All of the sound setting in the
profile are either off or on vibrate- and this is the only sound the phone makes in the current profile.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

 

What is the number for microsoft tech support.

That is the correct number for MS Tech Support. But, it is easily spoofed if you see a popup or an email claiming you had an issue. No one would know except you.

It's a scam that has been going on for years. Microsoft never makes unsolicited phone calls.

It's a scam that started a few years ago. I hope you did not call them.

Use the Task Manager to exit the browser. Reboot and see if the pop-up goes away.
