  1. Camcorder files not showing on PC

I am trying to access video and picture files from my 2003 Sony Handycam DCR-DVD300 on my Windows 10 computer, without finalizing the DVD. The camera requires a USB Type-B Mini connection from the camera to the computer. I attempted plugging in the USB cable into every possible port, with no avail on the computer end. The camcorder does however display a "USB Mode" screen. Is there a specific software I need to use to access the DVD files for my specific camcorder? Or is the camcorder incompatible with Windows 10?

    :)

    Where is my camcorder

Files are wherever they were before, on the camcorder, only not seen as storage device. Check Control panel >Devices and printers to see if camcorder is listed.

    camcorder video

    Hi Jeol

Is that video stored on your PC or is that stored on a camcorder?

If that is stored on the camcorder, then that needs to be transferred to the PC and digitally encoded, if you have not done that, what is the Make and exact Model No. of your camcorder?

If that is stored as a file on your PC already, a video file is too large to send via Email, here are the steps to provide that in an Email:

Log into OneDrive, with the same login details you used on this forum:
    https://onedrive.live.com/

Click and drag that video file into that OneDrive page

Wait for that video to upload . . .

Once the file has uploaded, right click the file in the OneDrive page and choose Share

Click 'Copy Link' then you can Email that link to the recipient and they can download the video at their end . . .

Canon Camcorder video files not recognised on Windows 10 PC

Thanks for the reply Jefferson. To clarify further, when I first hooked up the Camcorder to the PC via USB it automatically transfered from the camcorder to the PC. But then after recording other stuff within a matter
of about 10 minutes it is now not recognising any files to transfer while still recognising the camcorder and folders on the camcorder. So it is an issue which has developed rather than an issue that has always occured. Meaning I have software which recognised
it all originally but now doesn't. Within the timespan of about 10 minutes without any changes to the computer being made prior to the issue. I have not tried the other steps re: checking through another computer or making a different user profile. I will
    give this a go.
