Windows 10: Camera Application flash funbctions

Dear Community,


I would like to ask for your help.

I need to support 800 Getac RX10R2 tablets. The users are complaining that the Microsoft owned camera app not has flash turn on-off options.

No any way to use the flash. Getac's own camera app has it, works fine.

I think a desktop application not needs this option, but, who knows.

I ran through several Microsoft articels, youtube videos, but the flash wasnt't even mentioned. I found only one clue, on the Microsoft website at the Camera app description, the demo photos has the Icon for flash.


Please help me to sort out this issue.

You can try these steps and see if it will make any difference:

• Power cycle

1. Turn off the phone then remove the back cover and the battery.

2. Reinsert the battery and the back cover then turn on your phone.

• Reset your camera settings

1. Go to Settings.

2. Swipe to Application settings.

3. Choose Photos+camera.

4. Select Reset camera.

Lumia Camera application does flash after flash off in Lumia 535 Dual Sim

Hi.

That's probably the focus assist feature, which uses the flash before actually taking the picture, to focus the scene.

To disable this in the default Camera app:

• Expand the app bar by tapping on the three dots
• Select "photo settings..."
• Set "Focus Assist Light" to "Off"

In the Nokia Camera app:

• Expand the app bar by tapping on the three dots
• Select "settings"
• Set "Focus assist light" to "always off". Alternatively, set it to "set by flash", so it will only be enabled when flash is enabled.

Camera does not work.

To isolate your concern, we suggest that you uninstall the camera through Device Manager. To do this, follow the steps below:

• In the Search box, type Device
  Manager and press Enter.
• Navigate to Imaging devices.
• Expand the Imaging devices tree by clicking on the adjacent arrow.
• Look for your device, right-click then select Properties.
• Click on the Driver tab, then choose Uninstall button.

Let the system restarts to complete the process. Take note that the camera may not work if there are other applications which are still open that uses the same device, we suggest that after uninstalling the device you can proceed with launching the application
to check if the issue persists.
