Windows 10: Camera crashes whenever a application uses it

My camera Logitech c922 pro crashes whenever I open Camera, Obs, etc. any application that tries to use my camera, my camera instantly disconnects itself and when I close the program it instantly connects itself again I've tried all of these1. Reinstalled webcam drivers via device manager didn't help2. Installed drivers from the official site did not help3. Reinstalled video card drivers didn't help4. Reinstalled processor drivers didn't help5. I tried to create the "EnableFrameServerMode" file in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows Media Foun

"Webcam" works in camera app, but crashes in other applications

I recently bought one of those cheap action cameras you see floating around on Amazon in order to participate in online meetings. This particular model has a "PC mode", when essentially exposes itself as an input device to Windows. The driver used when the camera is connected is "MMP SDK".

The camera works well when using Windows' built-in camera app, but only when using the video option. If I attempt to switch to the photo option, the camera will crash, and I have to reboot it. Oddly enough, the camera app is the only application where I can view the camera, as all other applications will cause the camera to crash when selecting it as a video source. So far, I've tried Discord, OBS, and a third-party virtual webcam application.

I've tried various registry hacks, but none have worked so far. I've reached out to the manufacturer, but I doubt they have a specific driver available. Normally, I wouldn't see this as worth my time and just return it, but the device is obviously working, so there's something that is causing it to crash. If anything, I'm curious to see what it is.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro with an RX 5700XT (probably not relevant, but whatever).

You can try these steps and see if it will make any difference:

• Power cycle

1. Turn off the phone then remove the back cover and the battery.

2. Reinsert the battery and the back cover then turn on your phone.

• Reset your camera settings

1. Go to Settings.

2. Swipe to Application settings.

3. Choose Photos+camera.

4. Select Reset camera.

Camera does not work.

To isolate your concern, we suggest that you uninstall the camera through Device Manager. To do this, follow the steps below:

• In the Search box, type Device
  Manager and press Enter.
• Navigate to Imaging devices.
• Expand the Imaging devices tree by clicking on the adjacent arrow.
• Look for your device, right-click then select Properties.
• Click on the Driver tab, then choose Uninstall button.

Let the system restarts to complete the process. Take note that the camera may not work if there are other applications which are still open that uses the same device, we suggest that after uninstalling the device you can proceed with launching the application
to check if the issue persists.
