Windows 10: Camera download

When I plugged my Samsung camera into my PC with W7, it downloaded into a picture folder. Now I've gone to W10, I can't find out how to do this. Can anyone help please? I can't remember how I did it before as it was a long time ago.

I knew there had to be other people who had the same problem and no I did not find that helpful as asked by Microsoft. I just pushed the wrong button.

I don`t think Microsoft takes any of this seriously or they are completely overwhelmed.

Like I asked before why screw up something that worked just fine on Windows 8.1, where is the improvement?

Anyways to all of you on this forum the very best of the season.

I have had the same problem as Vern, before the update windows would only import the newest pictures from my iPhone. Now, whenever i plug in my phone to import my pictures it imports all pictures instead of just the new ones, I have tried using the same
folder but no prompt came up to ask whether to duplicate etc.

Very frustrating as I only want the new ones imported and now 30 versions of every photo i have! Nothing on the photo app settings seems to help prevent duplicates!

Hi, I'd guess it depends if previously you had dedicated software that came with the camera installed, or whether you simply copied pictures from an SD card inserted into a media card slot..
