Windows 10: "Camera Key" F8 not working

My Device - Lenovo IdealPad S540I recently noticed that my camera wasn't working but after running a troubleshoot I got it back. I think this must have updated the drivers following a windows 11 update.BUT, my "F8" key is not having any effect. When I open the camera app, it is permanently on and the key will not let me disable it!!Any suggestions gratefully received.Thanks

f8 key not working

my camera wont enable (f8 key). for some reason, after restarting once with the f8 key on (the camera gets blocked) it wouldnt work. its stuck disabled, and even after several methods such as msconfig, cmd, and safe boot it still hasnt been fixed. this is pretty important for me since i am a student and if i cant switch on my camera it will be bad. please help me

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If F8 is not working, try pressing Fn + F8 to see if that works

if it does, try pressing Fn + Esc to unlock the Fn key.

If that does not work, laptop manufacturers install a utility to control the actions of the Function keys, because the actions vary from laptop to laptop, what is the make (Lenovo, Asus...etc.) of your laptop?
