Windows 10: Camera not coming up on windows camera app

Discus and support Camera not coming up on windows camera app in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; Hi, I use a camera through my android phone on droidcam.     Camera not coming up on windows camera app


    Hi, I use a camera through my android phone on droidcam. It works on other apps but not on windows camera. Is there a way to fix this?

    Win10 camera


    If you open the start menu and type in CAMERA and then the app comes back with the message "We can't find your camera" then you might need to check the driver that serves your camera device. Is your camera listed in the >settings > devices area?

    Change the camera that the Windows 10 camera app uses.

    From How to use the Camera app:

    1. Open the Camera app.
    2. Swipe in from the bottom edge to see the app commands.
      (If you're using a mouse, right-click within the app.)
    3. Tap or click the Change camera button.

    download Windows camera app

    Success in resetting Store; that produced a download of the Windows camera, despite seeing error message again, download proceeded. Screen shows MS app for Windows camera and indicates downloaded. (Camera now listed in app list.) But when Launch was selected,
    no action after screen with camera icon. Eventually message appeared " something went wrong: here is message code if needed: 0x400F4271>MediaCaptureFailedEvent>0xC00D3704. We seem to be moving ahead a step at a time. Next suggestion?
