Windows 10: Camera not showing a picture Win11

Hello, I have the following problem:When I open the camera app or any other app that uses the camera, I don't get a picture, not even a black screen.I get a grey backround screen with a crossed camera symbol in front.I have a internal Laptop camera.I have checked or done the following:- Deactivated and reactivated the camera- Updated the driver - Windows updated and restarted Does anyone have any ideas what else I could do

I suggest you to follow the below steps for arranging the camera pictures in recent order and check if it helps.

• Press “Windows+E” it will open file explorer.
• Go to “This PC” and click on “pictures folder”.
• Then click on “camera roll folder”.
• And right click on the empty space and select “sort by” option.
• Then select ascending option.

• When you say, "Deleted some pictures" from where exactly are you deleting these pictures?
• Exactly in which folder it is showing the deleted pictures?

Let me inform you that, Camera Roll folder contains only the pictures which are taken from your Phone Camera. It won't show you the pictures from
WhatsApp or Facebook.

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.
