Windows 10: Camera not Visible in Device Manager

The built-in camera in my windows 10 ASUS Q503UA has quit. The device has been working but has stopped and is no longer visible in Device Manager. I have download ASUS Live Update, but it says all is well. So far online resources have not been able to provide a solution. What may have caused this condition.

I tried and goggled & googled but didn't got webcam drivers from toshiba website as their is no mention of webcam drivers for my laptop model on their website. Also the camera is not visible in device manager so how do i uninstall or reinstall my camera
drivers???

I've just got Toshiba L50 - B I3010 and upgraded to windows 10. My default camera is not working and is also not visible in device manager. Also I tried various troubleshooters ,sfc/scannow in command prompt and enabling/disabling web camera from bios
but i doesn't work. I just wanted a solution without restoring my pc

We suggest you to follow the below steps and see if this helps.

Step 1: Run Hardware troubleshooter.

The Hardware Troubleshooter is an automated tool which checks the hardware connected to the computer for any known issues and provides the details on how to fix them. Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter.

1) Press “Windows Logo” + “S” keys from the keyboard.

2) Type “Troubleshooting” in the search bar and press “Enter”.

3) In the “Troubleshooting” window, click on “View All” on the left pane.

4) Click on “Hardware and Devices”.

5) Click on “Advanced” and then click on “Run as Administrator”.

6) Click “Next” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

Step 2 :

Check for any pending updates and install them.

1. Be connected to the internet.

2. Press Windows key and type updates.

3. Click on Check for updates.

4. Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.

Note : Camera driver in device manager is shown under Imaging devices.
