Windows 10: Camera Recording Not Working!

My laptop's camera is working. I am able to take picture but i am not able to record vedios. whenever i click on the vedio icon to start recording. after 5 to 10 seconds it will give me an error which "something went wrong" If you need it , here's the error code: 0xA00F4293<VideoCaptureStartTimeout>

We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

• Type troubleshooting on the search box.
• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

camera not working

If you have the camera connected to the computer, I would suggest that you disconnect the camera and then try to open the Camera app.



If the camera app opens, follow the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + C” from your keyboard to open “Charms bar”.
• Select “Settings” option.
• Select “Permissions” option.
• Turn on “Allow this app to access your: Webcam and Microphone” option.
• Lose the app by pressing “Alt key + F4” from your keyboard.
• Reopen the Camera app.
• Connect your camera and then check how this app works.

How to open camera and start camera recording in windows 10 using commands

The Camera app in Windows 10 helps you to take pictures, record videos, or stream video while video chatting. To open the Camera, follow these steps:

• Right-click on the Start button and choose Run.
• Enter this command in the Run dialog box: microsoft.windows.camera:.
• Click OK.

Automatic recording is unavailable in the Camera app. To record videos, you first have to switch to
Video mode. Tap the Video button from the right side of the app’s window.
