Windows 10: Cameras no longer tether after updating Win 10 > Win11

Back in the winter, accidentally upgraded my Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 running Win 10 to Win 11. I am a commercial photographer and previously used several different programs to tether my Canon R-series cameras to my laptop. I didn't discover I had issues with these programs Capture One, Tether Tool Smart Shooter, Breeze DSLR Remote until I was beyond the rollback period. Luckily, one program still works, Canon's EOS Utilities, but it's not optimal for my purposes.All my other programs refuse to run properly under Windows 11. All of a sudden, my camera no longer works. Win Phone 7, HTC HD 7. Any suggestions?

 

Lenovo Y510P (Unsupported for Win 10) Camera Driver Needed


Hello and welcome ksuthayya have had a look for a driver for your machine but there are only drivers listed up to 8.1 not 10.

Having said that my old Toshiba was in the same position and yet when I installed 10 Windows updates found drivers for stuff not listed on the Toshiba site.

Now a suggestion would be to get a clip on camera and install it via USB or like wise because it would have it owns driver. If my memory serves me right they are not that expensive - but still annoying eh?.

 

Win 10 iPhone 6 USB Tethering no longer works

Hi -

I've successfully upgraded the Asus T100TA to Windows 10.

I actually used my iPhone 6 tethered via USB to complete the downloads for the install process.

Post Windows 10 install, iPhone USB tethering no longer works.

WiFi tethering works fine. But WiFi tethering is much slower that USB tethering.

I've removed and reinstalled iTunes to no avail.

I tried resetting network settings on the phone - no joy.

I'd guess that this might be an iTunes issue, but at a minimum I wanted to put this out there.
