Windows 10: Can a computer affect the game play in a MMO?

I have had issues playing Neverwinter because instead of just being able to use alt to get control of the mouse I have to hit alt and control. And sometimes I have to hit both of them 3 or 4 times even to get it to work. This has happened with 3 different keyboards over 4 different mouses so it is not a hardware issue. Help please

1. Is the issue particular to MMO games or all games?

2. Have you installed all pending updates?

3. Have you updated the MMO games to the latest version?

I suggest you to install any pending updates on the pc to check if that helps. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.

Also update the MMO game to its latest version from Microsoft Store.

If the issue persists follow the next step.

I would also suggest you to install the Game in Compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Method 1: Install the Game in compatibility mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

1. Find the Game installer file location.

2. Right-click on the setup.exe file and click on ‘properties’.

3. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

4. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

Method 2: Perform a Clean boot and try to update.

Perform a clean boot to check if any third party application is causing the issue, as clean boot helps in eliminating software conflicts.

Method 3: Update the display driver software on the system.

mmo games keeps crashing after 2 or 3 min.

i've been trying to play my favorite mmo game on my new windows 10 computer but 2-5 mins in it crashes, so I pull out my old windows 7 computer and it works perfectly fine on their I don't get it please help.

So tests done and passed are:
1. CPU
2. memory
3. GPU

And you reinstalled Windows..

What is left of suspect is:
1. SSD
2. drivers
3. Network cards
4. BIOS

I understand the problem happens with games only?

How to test games:
1. Make sure the games you test are original games, not pirated, you can get free to play game from steam
Fake games are waste of time and tests can't be trusted
2. disconnect from internet, play only offline - single player games (to isolate network problems ex. LAN, WI-FI adapters)
3. play online games, MMO
