    I've discovered a malware on my PC. A seemingly simple url override for Edge. It redirects the home page and searches to ya.ru.In reality, it somehow got attached to my Windows/Microsoft account.I changed the edge home page settings and search engine to google and synched edge. The I spun up a fresh local VM with windows. I changed the default user to my Windows account and logged out and in.Aglfter logging in, when i opened Edge, it asked me whether to sync my account - i chose "no".The browser opened, flickered a few terminal windows, and swapped my home page with ya.ru.Then i clicked on syn

    Hi Michael,

    We suggest that you manually sync your Microsoft account by following these steps:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Tap email + accounts.
    • Tap and hold your Microsoft account.
    • Tap sync.

    Check also if you have the correct date and time set on your phone.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the Mailbox sync settings.


    • Open the Mail app and sign in to your account.

    • Click on the gear icon (Settings) from the bottom left corner.

    • Click on the Accounts under
      Settings.

    • Click on your account.

    • Click on the Change mailbox sync settings and check in the
      Sync options.

    Cannot Sync Microsoft Account on Windows Phone 8

    On a few occasions, issues like this have happened in the last few months. It is possible that the server is down or it is some account issue.

    I would suggest two things.

    • Wait for a few hours. In all likelihood, the issue will resolve itself.
    • Try the steps outlined in
