Windows 10: Can anyone help? - Inspiron 15 Screen Glitching and Studdering - don't know what's wrong

Hi! Is anyone having a similar issue to this or have a fix?

My Inspiron 15 7000 Series (7573) recently started "lagging" or "skipping" (the mouse, for instance, will freeze and then skip to another part of the screen instead of moving continuously) or video will stutter and audio sounds like it's glitching. Just now as well, my screen glitched and looked like it had rainbow static all over it for a second or two.

Audio from music players, system sounds or videos will also occasionally stutter and have static for a second.

I'm generally only running YouTube and have one PowerPoint or Word file open when the issue happens but it's hard to replicate a situation to get the symptoms. Does anyone know what could be wrong with my machine?

The computer is only a year old and I tried checking my drivers (all up to date) and cleaning off programs but it doesn't seem to have done anything. Not sure how to fix it

Hi Precious,

The problem you've experienced with your Touchscreen may be caused by having outdated drivers or could be a driver incompatibility. Noting the troubleshooting steps you've tried, we suggest performing the below troubleshooting steps to help us diagnose and
address this problem:

Run the troubleshooter

• In the Cortana search bar, type in Troubleshooting.
• Click Troubleshooting from the search results.
• In the left pane, click View all.
• From the list, click Hardware and Devices.
• Hit Next, and let the troubleshooter run through.

Disable/Re-enable the Touchscreen

• Right-click the Windows key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Human Interface Devices category.
• Right-click the HID-compliant touch screen and select
  Disable.
• Once disabled, right-click it again and click Enable.

Rollback the Drivers

Since installing the latest device drivers did not address the problem, we suggest rolling back the drivers.

• Right-click the Windows key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Human Interface Devices category.
• Right-click the HID-compliant touch screen and select
  Properties.
• Click the Driver tab and select Roll Back Driver.
